These are four paintings I worked on from January to March 2019, part of my “Timeless” series. These paintings take several weeks to complete, since each one consists of many layers of paint, other materials and liquid glass.

I start by pouring acrylic and opalescent paints, mixed with various other types of mediums and materials, inside liquid glass. Once this layer is dry I add another layer of liquid glass and paint on top and repeat the process. Most paintings in this series have 6-8 layers in them, creating a 3 dimensional effect.

My work has always been inspired by nature and aesthetics, and the connection between the two. Using energy and chemistry to create is my goal, and this new technique has opened up new directions to explore in achieving this.
