There is some controversy over whether or not “Paint Pouring” is considered an art form, or simply a technique.  I think it is just a way to get paint onto the surface. It’s more important what happens to the paint while it’s on the surface than how it’s applied.  Painting is all about controlling the paint, with whatever tools you choose to use.

There are many techniques I use to control the paint and to transform it into the end result. Blowing the painting, dragging or pushing it, creating chemical interactions and more. For me “Paint Pouring” is just a general term that encompasses a group of techniques based on nature and aesthetics.

I believe it’s more important to create a concept behind your technique, rather than blindly pouring paint and watching the results you get.  Without a concept, and without emotion “Painting Pouring”  is just a technique and not art form.
