Experience a weekend of art, music, food and great company at the 2025 Buckhorn Festival of the Arts on
Saturday, August 16 from 10am to 5pm; Sunday, August 17 from 10am to 4pm.
The Buckhorn Festival of the Arts brings professional, world-renowned artists from across Canada to the park-like setting of the Buckhorn Community Centre. This event originated as the first fundraising event in 1978 to help pay for the mortgage on the original buildings and land. Today, the show is known as one of the country’s premier events.
Not only does the show feature professional artists, but there’s also an Amateur Art Competition, Art Activity Zone, exhibit of youth art, and live music. As well, an annual Special Exhibit is curated by a committee of artists to bring something unique to each year’s event.
Admission is by donation. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed in buildings.

Joanne, who always aspired to be a professional artist, found her confidence when she moved to Napanee, speaking her dream out loud. Taking courses and seeking mentorship, she honed her skills and gained confidence.
Gary Barnett, a graphic designer since the mid-1970s, ventured into abstract painting in the early 1980s. Drawing inspiration from contemporary art, he developed a unique abstract style rooted in chemistry and energy.
